Robert Zendler II, DO
Dr. Zendler graduated from Hope College and completed his medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed an internship and ophthalmology residency at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Following this, he completed a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Michigan State University. Dr. Zendler’s specialized training in ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology has provided him with invaluable experience in treating a wide range of eye conditions and performing various surgical procedures. He has extensive experience in performing cataract, refractive, and glaucoma surgeries as well as in the management of neuro-visual disorders.
Dr. Zendler is board certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a clinical professor in the department of neurology and ophthalmology at Michigan State University. Dr. Zendler was the director of the ophthalmology residency training program at Ascension Genesys Regional Medical Center for thirty years, and continues to train residents and medical students at Ascension and Michigan State University.
