Andrew Jilwan, MD
Dr. Andrew Jilwan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained pediatric specialist dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, and completed medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine.
He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Saint Louis University, where he developed a strong interest in pediatric eye disease and strabismus. This passion led him to pursue a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, one of the country’s leading pediatric institutions.
Dr. Jilwan’s clinical interests include the management of pediatric myopia, strabismus (both surgical and refractive treatments), and the diagnosis and care of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). He is committed to early detection and long-term visual health outcomes, working closely with families to provide individualized, evidence based care.
Following three years of practice in Chicago, Dr. Jilwan relocated to Michigan, where he is excited to continue serving children and families with dedication and expertise. His approach is grounded in clear communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of his patients.
