Aleksey I. Mishulin, MD, FWCRS
Dr. Mishulin is a specialist in complex and refractive cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures. Dr. Mishulin was among the first in Michigan to be named a Fellow of the World College of Refractive Surgery & Visual Sciences, and was part of the inaugural class of surgeons who achieved Board Certification in Refractive Surgery by the WCRS. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2015. He went on to finish a transitional medicine residency at William Beaumont Hospital, where he was chief resident and was awarded resident of the year, before completing his ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. Dr. Mishulin is an Associate Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he teaches ophthalmology residents and fellows about refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and advanced ophthalmic imaging. He participates in the IOPEN surgical mission in the Dominican Republic, in partnership with Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC) and SEE International, restoring sight to patients who otherwise have minimal access to care. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract Refractive Surgeons, and the Refractive Surgeons Alliance.
